What is kitchen respraying?
Kitchen respraying (also called kitchen spray painting or cabinet respraying) is the job of spraying new colour onto the units you already have. ColourHaus resprays kitchens across Yorkshire from our workshop in Sheepscar, Leeds. Prices start at £1,500, most kitchens take 3 to 5 working days, and the coating carries a 5-year written guarantee. Your carcasses, worktops, plumbing and appliances stay where they are.

What a kitchen respray covers
- Cabinet doors in any style: Shaker, slab, in-frame, raised panel or handleless
- Drawer fronts, including pan drawers and integrated appliance doors
- Face frames, end panels and filler panels
- Plinths, cornice and pelmet where fitted
- Islands and dressers that match the main run
Worktops are not part of a standard respray. If yours are tired, we can coat them with spray granite worktop resurfacing on the same visit.
How much does kitchen respraying cost in Yorkshire?
A smaller kitchen with up to 10 doors and drawer fronts starts from £1,500. Most kitchens we respray in Yorkshire cost between £1,800 and £3,500. The price depends on how many doors, drawer fronts, frames and panels there are, the door style, and whether you want one colour or two.

Your quote is fixed in writing within 48 hours of the survey, with no day rates. A 50% deposit secures your dates and the balance is due on the final day after you have signed off the work. How the respray is done
- Survey and samples. We visit, check the doors and carcasses, and show you sprayed colour samples in your own kitchen light.
- Fixed written quote within 48 hours.
- Preparation. Degreasing, keying, filling chips and dents, and masking worktops, floors, walls and appliances.
- Doors to the workshop. Doors and drawer fronts are usually collected and sprayed at our Sheepscar workshop, while frames and end panels are sprayed in place.
- Primer and two topcoats applied with HVLP (high volume, low pressure) spray equipment for an even finish with no brush marks.
- Refit and walk-through. Doors go back on and are adjusted, and we check every surface with you before we finish.

Finish and colour options
We spray in matt, satin or gloss, and can match any RAL, NCS, Farrow & Ball, Little Greene or Dulux colour. Satin is the most popular finish with our kitchen customers. Is my kitchen suitable for respraying?
Most kitchens are. Solid wood, painted wood, MDF, laminate and high-gloss doors can all be resprayed. Peeling vinyl wrap is removed first, and small dents, chips and loose edges are repaired as part of the preparation. A kitchen is not a good candidate if the carcasses are swollen from water damage or the doors are delaminating badly; in that case we will say so. Can you respray vinyl-wrapped, laminate or high-gloss kitchen doors?
In most cases, yes. Solid wood, painted wood, MDF, laminate and high-gloss doors can all be resprayed once they are properly keyed and primed. Peeling vinyl wrap has to come off first. Doors with badly swollen or water-damaged edges may not be suitable, and we will tell you at the survey.
Which finish is best for kitchen cabinets: matt, satin or gloss?
Satin is the finish most of our kitchen customers choose because it is easy to wipe clean and suits both Shaker and slab doors. Matt gives a softer, modern look and suits deep colours. Gloss reflects the most light and suits handleless kitchens. We bring sprayed samples of each to the survey.
What does the 5-year guarantee on a kitchen respray cover?
The 5-year written guarantee covers the coating we apply against peeling, flaking and adhesion failure caused by our workmanship under normal domestic use. It does not cover impact damage, heat or water damage, or harsh cleaning products. The full terms are on our guarantee page.
