A kitchen makeover is a whole-room refresh planned as one job. We respray your units and, where you want them, coat the worktops in spray granite, spray the tiles or splashback, change the handles, and repaint the walls, ceiling and woodwork, all in a coordinated colour scheme. Makeovers start from £1,500, most are finished in 3 to 5 working days, and every coating we apply carries our 5-year written guarantee.
The units are only one part of how a kitchen looks. Bright new doors next to scratched worktops and dated tiles rarely look finished, so a makeover deals with every surface you can see. If only the units need doing, a kitchen respray of the doors and frames is the simpler job.
What a kitchen makeover can include
- Units: doors, drawer fronts, frames, end panels, plinths and cornice resprayed in one or two colours.
- Worktops: spray granite resurfacing over existing laminate, tile or MDF worktops.
- Tiles and splashback: sprayed to suit the new scheme instead of being chipped off and replaced.
- Handles and hardware: changed while the doors are off, with old fixing holes filled where needed.
- Walls, ceiling and woodwork: decorated in the same project, using our interior spraying service.
- Islands, dressers, tables and chairs: sprayed to match or contrast with the main run.

Planning a coordinated colour scheme
A makeover works best when the units, worktop, splashback and walls are chosen together. Popular combinations are a darker island against lighter wall units, two-tone schemes with a deeper base colour, and stone-effect worktops picked to pick up a tone in the doors. At the survey we bring sprayed samples so you can see the colours next to your floor and in your own light. We can match any RAL, NCS, Farrow & Ball or Little Greene colour, or a sample you already have through our colour matching service. How much does a kitchen makeover cost?
A makeover starts from £1,500, which covers the respray of a smaller kitchen. Worktops, tiles, handles and decorating are added as separate lines, priced after a free survey because they depend on the size and condition of each surface. Your fixed written quote arrives within 48 hours of the survey, with no day rates. Finance may be available, subject to status: ask us for details.

How the work is usually scheduled
- Survey and colour planning with sprayed samples, then a fixed written quote within 48 hours.
- Preparation and masking of the whole room, with doors and drawer fronts usually taken to our Sheepscar workshop for spraying.
- Frames, panels and tiles sprayed in place.
- Worktops coated with spray granite, then left 24 hours to cure.
- Walls, ceiling and woodwork decorated last, so nothing new gets marked.
- Doors refitted with your new handles, followed by a walk-through with you.

Can you do the worktops as part of a kitchen makeover?
Yes. We can coat existing worktops with spray granite, a stone-effect finish applied over laminate, tile, MDF and other solid surfaces. It is usually done in a day and needs 24 hours to cure before normal use.
Can you spray kitchen tiles and splashbacks?
Yes, tiles and splashbacks can be sprayed to suit the new colour scheme. Tiles directly behind a hob or sink get more heat and water than anywhere else, so we look at those areas at the survey and advise on the best option.
Can you change the cupboard handles during a makeover?
Yes. Handles can be changed while the doors are off for spraying. If the new handles need different fixing holes, we fill the old holes before the doors are sprayed, so nothing shows afterwards.
How long does a kitchen makeover take?
Most kitchen makeovers take 3 to 5 working days. Larger scopes that add decorating or several surfaces can take longer, and we set out the schedule in your quote. There is no strip-out, so you avoid the weeks without a kitchen that a refit involves.
