If your fitted wardrobes or built-in units are solid but the colour or wood finish has dated, spray painting gives them a smooth, factory-style finish in any colour without ripping them out. Materials we can spray
MDF, solid wood (pine and oak included), previously painted furniture and sealed laminate or melamine can all be sprayed once they are cleaned, keyed and primed. How a fitted furniture job runs
- Survey and colour samples, then a fixed written quote within 48 hours.
- Preparation: cleaning, degreasing, light sanding and filling, with handles removed where possible.
- Masking of the floor, walls, ceiling, mirrors and anything nearby.
- Adhesion primer, then two topcoats applied with HVLP spray equipment.
- Refit and walk-through: doors and handles go back on, and we check every surface with you.
We use low-VOC, water-based paints for fitted furniture, so there is less smell in bedrooms and living spaces while the work is done.
Colours and finishes
Choose matt, satin or gloss in any RAL, NCS, Farrow & Ball or Little Greene colour. You can match wardrobes to the walls so they blend into the room, or pick a contrasting colour. We bring sprayed samples to the survey, and our colour matching service can match an existing paint, fabric or piece of furniture.

Fitted furniture spraying FAQs
Can you spray paint fitted wardrobes without removing them?
Yes. Fitted wardrobes, bookcases and alcove units are sprayed where they stand, with the floor, walls and ceiling around them masked. Doors may be taken off their hinges to spray the edges cleanly, then refitted and adjusted.
Can you spray the inside of a wardrobe as well?
Yes, if you want it. Interiors, shelves and drawer boxes can be included, and we price them as a separate line on your quote so you can decide.
What materials can be spray painted?
We spray MDF, solid wood including pine and oak, previously painted furniture and sealed laminate or melamine, once it is properly keyed and primed. Mirrored sliding doors and glass panels are masked, not painted.
How long does fitted furniture spray painting take?
A typical bedroom wardrobe takes 1 to 2 days. Larger projects across several rooms usually take 2 to 3 days. The furniture cannot be used while the paint cures, so we plan the work around your routine.
Can you match the colour to my walls or other furniture?
Yes. We can spray any RAL, NCS, Farrow & Ball or Little Greene colour, or match a paint chip, a fabric or a piece of existing furniture through our colour matching service.
