1. Definitions

  • "Client" refers to the individual or organisation requesting the work.

  • "Contractor" refers to Colourhaus Ltd, providing painting and decorating services.

  • "Services" refers to the painting and/or decorating work provided.

2. Estimates and Quotes

  • All quotes are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated.

  • Quotes are based on the information provided by the Client. Any changes to the scope of work may result in revised pricing.

3. Booking and Deposits

  • A written agreement or signed acceptance of the quote confirms the booking.

  • A deposit of 10% is required to secure the start date and cover material costs. This will be deducted from the final invoice.

4. Payment Terms

  • Full payment is due on day of completion of the final invoice unless otherwise agreed in writing.

  • Late payments may incur interest charges under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

5. Scope of Work

  • Services include preparation, painting, and/or decorating as agreed in the written quote or contract.

  • Any additional work requested by the Client that is not included in the original quote may be subject to an extra charge.

  • Colourhaus Ltd is not responsible for delays or damage caused by structural defects, damp, or other underlying conditions.

6. Materials and Access

  • Colourhaus Ltd will provide all agreed materials unless otherwise arranged.

  • The Client must provide clear access to all relevant areas and ensure any valuables or delicate items are removed.

  • Protective coverings will be used, but Colourhaus Ltd accepts no responsibility for damage to unprotected items.

7. Working Hours and Delays

  • Standard working hours are Monday to Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm.

  • Colourhaus Ltd will not be held liable for delays caused by events beyond its control, including adverse weather, material shortages, or third-party issues.

8. Health & Safety

  • All services will be carried out in compliance with UK Health & Safety legislation.

  • The Client agrees to ensure a safe working environment free of hazards.

9. Cancellation

  • Cancellations must be made in writing.

  • Deposits are non-refundable if cancellation occurs less than 14 days before the agreed start date.

10. Complaints

  • Any complaints must be submitted in writing within 7 days of the job’s completion.

  • Colourhaus Ltd will make reasonable efforts to address and resolve issues promptly and professionally.

11. Liability and Insurance

  • Colourhaus Ltd carries public liability insurance up to £[Insert Amount].

  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss or for any issues not caused directly by our work or negligence.

12. Governing Law

  • These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.

Acceptance

By accepting the quote or instructing Colourhaus Ltd to proceed with the work, the Client agrees to these terms and conditions.
